How to use your sustainable seed kit

Congratulations and welcome to the club you’re one step closer to becoming a sustainable gardener.

Every part of this product has been carefully selected to ensure that it is environmentally friendly. It is our goal that you are able to grow your own food and medicines, in line with mother nature, whilst having as little impact on the earth as possible.

What makes this seed kit truly sustainable

Compostable Box

The perfect base to start your “no dig” garden, shred it to feed your worms or add carbon to your compost bin. The only limit in ways to re-use this resource is your imagination.

Zero Waste Coir Coins

Made from the waste product of coconuts and forming the perfect growth substrate for your plants.

ECO-FRIENDLY SEED PACK

SUSTAINABLE STICKERS

Made using entirely sustainable materials (even the glue). These can be recycled or turned into another valuable material.

Instructions

  1. Open the box and remove the coir coins.
  2. Place the coir coins into a thin layer of water e.g. inside a bowl, until saturated. Once the coins are fully swollen/expanded, lightly squeeze to remove any excess water.
  3. Plant several seeds from your chosen packet into each coir coin (for most plant types, there will be spare!).They should be within the coin and not exposed to the air.
  4. Place the coins into a warm spot away from direct light and keep moist (but not water-logged).
  5. Once the first set of leaves (and therefore the roots) are properly formed, gently tease the coin apart and put each individual plant into its own pot with potting compost.
